Apex Legends has fixed an issue that reset some Steam players’ settings whenever they relaunched the game, according to a Steam post published October 2, 2026, at 20:24 UTC. The post also reduces 2 Fast Draw Wild Card bonuses.
The settings issue mainly affected players with unusual Apex folder structures or installation locations, and was observed most often in APAC.
Fast Draw Wild Card bonuses are lower
The Wild Card’s reload time reduction falls from 35% to 25%. Its reduction to consumable use time falls from 50% to 25%.
That is a 10 percentage-point cut to the reload bonus and a 25 percentage-point cut to the consumable-use bonus.
