The official post published on October 5, 2026 details 5 decisions for the move of Dead by Daylight update 10.2.0 from the PTB to Live. Three perks are changing, the Windows of Opportunity changes are staying, and Borrowed Time is reverting to its current Live version. The post does not specify the Live release date.

Three Dead by Daylight 10.2.0 perk changes

The condition that disabled Shoulder the Burden for other Survivors is being removed. The team says the rule raised concerns in solo play, where players cannot coordinate over voice: after the perk was used, other Survivors could lose access to it.

This is Not Happening is losing its base increase to the Great Skill Check zone. The team says it removed the increase after concerns about its combination with Hyperfocus.

With Dark Arrogance, the cooldown on basic attacks will no longer apply to successful hits. It will still apply to missed or obstructed attacks. The team reports that players felt Killers recovered too quickly on the PTB, shortening chases, and identifies this perk as one of the contributing factors.

Windows of Opportunity and Borrowed Time take opposite paths

The changes to Windows of Opportunity from the PTB will remain in Live. The changes to Borrowed Time are being dropped: the perk is reverting to its current Live version.
