DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 has received its first trailer. Published on September 3, 2026 by Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., the “Fight Your Own Way” presentation puts character creation at the heart of the game and confirms a release in 2027.
Android joins the six announced races
The fighter creator will include six announced races: Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin and Android. Android is the new feature highlighted by Bandai Namco, but the trailer does not explain its exact role, transformations or unique abilities. It is also unclear whether the race will be available from the start of the adventure or require a specific condition.
Customization will extend beyond appearance. The presentation mentions a legacy of techniques from Super Fighters and a combat style built around the moves and abilities of 130 heroes. That number indicates the scale of the references used by the system, but it does not confirm that all 130 characters will be playable.
The story moves into AGE 1000
The adventure will take place in the still-unexplored era of AGE 1000. West City will again provide the setting for original stories, while the Great Saiya Squad appears in the footage shown. The trailer also mentions the possibility of fighting alongside allies.
The announced framework is clear: players will control a custom-created character in a new period of the Dragon Ball universe. Details about progression, mission structure, starting techniques and possible unlock conditions remain undisclosed.
A 2027 release without a specific date
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. Bandai Namco has not announced a launch day or month, price, edition or pre-order opening. Availability through Game Pass or PlayStation Plus has not been confirmed either, so 2027 remains a release window rather than a date players can plan around.
Bandai Namco’s official announcement The confirmed outline currently covers six races, inherited techniques, 130 cited heroes, a story set in AGE 1000 and 3 release platforms. The next announcements will need to clarify how Android works, when the game launches and how its customization options are unlocked.
