Far Far West will launch its Halloween event, FEAR FEAR WEST, on October 22, with the event scheduled to end on November 12. The team promises faster cosmetic unlocks during that window, while confirming that the seasonal items will remain available permanently afterward.
In its announcement on October 15, 2026, the team also announced an update for October 22, bringing new content, system changes, bug fixes and optimization improvements. FEAR FEAR WEST is the seasonal event accompanying that update.
Gather resources, complete a ritual, earn Haunted Candles
The Halloween unlock process will involve gathering resources and completing a ritual to obtain Haunted Candles. Players will then use those candles to unlock the new seasonal cosmetics. That gives the event its own resource-and-ritual loop, linking the Halloween rewards to activities completed during the celebration.
The team says unlocking these cosmetics will be faster during the event, but has not put a time estimate on that promise. Players interested in the skins therefore have a reason to take part between October 22 and November 12, without a confirmed measure of how much time the seasonal route will save.
November 12 ends the event, not access to the skins
The Halloween cosmetics will remain available after FEAR FEAR WEST ends. Their subsequent gold cost will be higher than that of regular skins of the same rarity. The comparison is with ordinary cosmetics of matching rarity; it does not establish a specific price or a multiplier.
For anyone unable to join the event, permanent availability removes the prospect of missing these appearances forever. The trade-off is between pursuing the event's promised faster unlocks and acquiring the items later with gold at that higher price relative to regular skins.

The accompanying update reaches beyond Halloween cosmetics: the announcement includes new content, changes to systems, bug fixes and optimization work. Those categories do not yet identify which bugs will be addressed or establish a measurable performance improvement, so they offer no basis for expecting a particular issue to be resolved.
