Farming Simulator 25 patch 1.25 is available, according to the official patch notes published on Steam published on October 20, 2026. It adds hired help for horse and alpaca care, alongside changes to vineyard planting, construction tracking and several fixes.

Hire workers to ride horses and shear alpacas

You can now hire helpers to ride and groom horses, and to walk and shear alpacas. For farms managing these animals alongside fieldwork and construction, those activities become tasks that can be delegated rather than handled personally.

These additions cover specific jobs: riding and grooming for horses, walking and shearing for alpacas. They should not be taken as a promise of full livestock automation.

Plant grapevines throughout the year

Patch 1.25 allows grapevines to be planted all year round. Establishing a vineyard therefore becomes more flexible: planting no longer needs to wait for a particular seasonal window. This is a change to planting availability, with no announced yield adjustment attached to it.

A new boundary painting tool also arrives for vineyards and olive groves. Elsewhere on the farm, the player HUD now shows progress for each construction stage, making the current stage's progress visible as work proceeds.

The machinery additions include a narrow-track variant of the John Deere S7 Crawler, expanding the available versions of that machine.

Lighting, tornado damage and wheel bindings receive fixes

The lighting fixes address the moon rising instead of the sun at the start of the day, as well as abrupt changes in lighting at dawn and dusk. These target both the celestial display and the transitions around sunrise and sunset.

Tornadoes no longer destroy trees on land that cannot be purchased. The relevant condition is whether the land is purchasable, rather than simply whether the player currently owns it.

The update also fixes control bindings for the Hori truck control wheel. For mod creators, it introduces the requiresPower option for mobile tools.

Separate updates for Straw Harvest, Pumps n’ Hoses and Emergency

The announcement includes changes to these packs under their own version numbers:

  • Straw Harvest Pack 1.3.0.0: feeding robots accept straw and hay pellets.
  • Pumps n’ Hoses Pack 1.2.0.0: the hose pallet can be sold again.
  • Emergency Pack 1.2.0.0: fire scenarios now take temperature, snow and season into account.

For horse and alpaca owners, the practical change is the ability to hand over the named care tasks; for vineyard projects, it is the freedom to plant throughout the year. The Steam announcement presents patch 1.25 as available, but does not establish a simultaneous rollout across every platform.
