FragPunk’s October 22 update is set to increase Mad Dog-S damage and Boom Broom ammunition, while changing abilities for Axon, Hurricane and Wildstyle. Two events and the Wasteland Rhapsody Battle Pass are also scheduled to launch that day.
Maintenance is scheduled for 10 a.m., with downtime estimated at around three hours. The team’s October 21 announcement does not specify a time zone in its maintenance notice, so the start time cannot reliably be converted to local time. The downtime remains an estimate.
Mad Dog-S gains damage, Boom Broom gains ammunition
The Mad Dog-S is due to receive reduced bullet spread while moving, alongside an increase in damage per bullet from 26 to 27 within 24 meters. The adjustments affect both moving fire and damage within that distance. They do not, by themselves, establish that a target will take fewer bullets to eliminate.
The Boom Broom will gain a round per magazine, taking its capacity from 11 to 12. Reserve ammunition will also rise from 33 to 36 rounds. Players will therefore have an additional shot available before reloading, as well as more ammunition in reserve.
Axon reveals nearby enemies; Wildstyle’s healing changes
Activating Axon’s Super Freak is set to reveal nearby enemies’ positions. Those opponents will also receive visual feedback.
For Hurricane, the adjustment concerns the area affected by Heroic Onslaught. After deployment, the range within which nearby enemies become vulnerable will increase.
Wildstyle’s Coat of Many Colors will replace its immediate extra-health grant with healing, converting any excess into extra health. This changes how the ability works when health is missing: healing restores that health first, with only the surplus becoming extra health.
October 22 brings events and Wasteland Rhapsody
Blitz Ballet is scheduled to begin on October 22 for a limited time. Its challenges cover match count, playtime and damage dealt, tying participation to activity during matches.
Chapter Login is also scheduled to start that day, offering rewards for daily logins during the event. Its participation requirement differs from Blitz Ballet’s gameplay objectives: players earn these rewards by logging in. Neither event has an announced end date in the notice.
The Wasteland Rhapsody Battle Pass is announced for October 22 as well. Its season number remains unclear because the announcement’s title and body use different numbering.
For players waiting for FarLands, early access remains scheduled for November 5. That is a separate date from the October 22 weapon adjustments, ability changes and event launches.
