Gacha Girls Corps has announced two additions to its anime cast: Ai Kayano will voice Shisuha Alvy, while Rie Kugimiya will play Luna Varades. The announcement was published on August 23, 2026, by Crunchyroll.
The update confirms two roles and sets the Japanese broadcast for January 2027. It does not yet provide an exact premiere date, and the territories covered by Crunchyroll’s planned simulcast have not been specified.
The production team brings together Zero-G and Saber Works
Takashi Asami is directing the anime at Zero-G and Saber Works, with Masahiro Takata overseeing production. Deko Akao is responsible for series composition, while Minewo Suzuki is designing the characters. The music is composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi and George King.
This gives the series a clearly identified core staff alongside its newly announced voice cast. However, the available announcement still leaves the detailed broadcast schedule and international distribution information to be confirmed.
A January 2027 broadcast in Japan
The Japanese broadcast will begin in January 2027. Crunchyroll has also planned a simulcast for its winter 2027 programming. This establishes the broad release window, but viewers will need to wait for later announcements to learn the precise launch date and viewing availability in each territory.
A franchise built across novels and manga
The franchise began when Chinkururi launched the universe on Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2016. Micro Magazine publishes the light novel under the GC Novels label, and the series comprises nine volumes. Its manga adaptation, published in Comics Ride, had reached fourteen volumes as of the announcement. Kaiten Books publishes the English version.
Crunchyroll announcement remains the reference for the confirmed casting, staff and release information. Additional anime coverage is available in the JEU.VIDEO news section and on the Gacha Girls Corps Casting page.
