League Classic’s first community poll opened on August 26, 2026. Eligible players can find it in the “The Council” tab of the League client, answer the questions, and change their choices until September 2, 2026.
This is a consultation, not a content update: nothing has been deployed yet. Once voting ends, the results will be published in the patch notes. The official rules give each point of voting power one vote per question.
The choices cover items, match length and the map
Players are being asked about match length, items that could return, and several map features. For item proposals, any option receiving more than 50% of the vote may be reintroduced in Classic. That threshold creates an opportunity for a return, but it does not confirm immediate deployment.
The map questions cover base gates, beacons, the snowball effect, and river creature pairings. Jungle timers have their own question, with 3 choices: always display them on the minimap, display them when the scoreboard is open, or keep the current minimap.
The poll sets a direction, not a patch date
The deadline matters because the vote records player preferences before Riot decides what, if anything, should return to Classic. An item passing 50% is eligible for reintroduction; it is not guaranteed to appear. The same distinction applies to gates, jungle timers, and river creatures: the poll identifies the preferred direction while the in-game result remains pending.
Eligible players can still revise their answers before voting closes. The official The Council announcement remains the reference for the poll’s rules and access, while results are expected after September 2.

For now, League Classic players are choosing which changes deserve consideration, not receiving a new update. The confirmed next step is publication of the results in the patch notes after September 2.
