Rainbow Six Tactics was announced by Ubisoft on August 25, 2026. Ubisoft’s official announcement presents a solo, turn-based campaign set in the timeline of Rainbow Six Siege. Players will take the role of Six and direct a squad from a headquarters.
Planning comes before the first move
The campaign will feature 15 operators, while each squad can contain up to four members. Ubisoft has announced three mission types: Hostage Rescue, Bomb Disposal and Target Elimination.
Operations will cover more than 45 locations, all built around destructible environments. Before an operation begins, the Breach Planning system adds a dedicated preparation phase. That emphasis places squad composition, positioning and the use of the environment at the center of the announced structure, although Ubisoft has not yet explained how much time players will spend planning compared with resolving each turn.
A headquarters will shape the campaign between operations
Progression will continue outside missions. Players will be able to upgrade their base, train operators and strengthen the team between operations. The headquarters therefore links the tactical missions into a broader solo campaign rather than presenting them as isolated encounters.
The connection to Rainbow Six Siege is clear in the setting, operator roster and mission vocabulary, but the announcement does not establish that Rainbow Six Tactics will reproduce Siege’s real-time rhythm. Its precise mission pacing and the way operators develop over the campaign remain unknown.
Rainbow Six Tactics is planned for PC and current consoles
Rainbow Six Tactics is announced for PC through Ubisoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Ubisoft also lists the GeForce Now and Blacknut cloud services. official artwork supplied by Ubisoft accompanies the first presentation.
No release date, price, edition or beta has been confirmed at this stage. Ubisoft has also not announced availability through Game Pass or PS Plus. Further information is available through the Rainbow Six Tactics game page.
