Bandai Namco published the patch 2.71 notes for NARUTO TO BORUTO: SHINOBI STRIKER on August 28, 2026. The Shinobi Striker patch 2.71 introduces Master Character Training Pack #49, dedicated to Naruto Uzumaki (Sage Mode), along with several changes to combat and training.
Naruto Uzumaki (Sage Mode) is announced as playable by all players from release. His original ninjutsu and items can also be obtained for avatars. The patch therefore adds both a character usable in combat and new customization options.
More precise Practice Mode options in Shinobi Striker patch 2.71
Practice Mode receives three additional options: removing Ninja Masters, selecting teammates and choosing the rules for Combat Battles. These settings make it possible to prepare a more focused training situation, particularly for isolating a balance change or practicing with a specific team composition.
The ninjutsu control guide can now be shown or hidden during battles. The setting is located under Game Settings > Display Settings. The prompts can remain visible while learning, then be disabled once the combos have been mastered.
All 4 combat types reviewed
The adjustments cover substitutions, ninjutsu, secret techniques, weapons, ninja tools, outfit skills and summoned animals. All 4 combat types — Attack, Ranged, Defense and Heal — are affected. The update also changes the names of six revamped maps.
Season Pass 10 brings together Master Character Training Packs #48 through #51. It also includes the Majestic Attire: Susano’o secret technique for Attack and Defense types. The pass content and access to Naruto Uzumaki (Sage Mode) should therefore not be confused: the character is announced as playable by everyone at release, while the pass brings together several packs and a secret technique.
Platforms and useful checks
The official page lists Shinobi Striker on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. The affected categories and equipment can be checked in the full version 2.71 notes. To measure the effect of a change, the most useful approach is to test the combat type and equipment separately, then reproduce the situation in Practice Mode.
Shinobi Striker patch 2.71 combines a new character available to everyone, more detailed training tools and balance changes covering a broad part of the game. The notes identify the areas affected, but the best equipment will always depend on the combat type and the situation being targeted.
