Saber Interactive has outlined Space Marine 2 Patch 15 for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, but its deployment date remains unannounced. The August Community Update published on August 28, 2026 details the planned content without indicating that the update is already available.
The immediate deadline concerns a separate community event. Players must complete 3 Chaos PvE missions before September 8, 2026 to earn up to 100 accolades and 150 requisition points. These rewards are not tied to the Patch 15 release date.
Chaos Siege adds a new map on Avarax
Patch 15’s main addition is Chaos Siege, a Siege-type map set on Avarax. Tyranid and Loyalist waves will be joined by Chaos Cultists and Ritualists, while players will also have the option to deploy a Helbrute.
Saber Interactive has not yet announced when the map will launch or published the update’s complete list of fixes. The content is known, but the release schedule is not.
Crucible Mode lets players choose the penalties
Crucible Mode will modify an Operation by letting players select penalties before starting it. A class at level 25 will be required to access the mode. The added restrictions will increase Purity XP gains and unlock new customization items, but they will also make each Operation more difficult.
The One-Handed Thunder Hammer will be added to the arsenals of the Tactical, Assault, Bulwark and Techmarine classes. Its fast attacks will focus on a single enemy, while its area attacks will serve against groups.
Tactical gets more control over its weapons
Tactical’s skill tree will be reworked. One perk will let players replace the primary weapon with a Power Sword, a Power Axe or the One-Handed Thunder Hammer. Another will allow a Primary Bolt Rifle to take the place of the secondary weapon.
That combination will let Tactical lean further into melee combat or adopt a more flexible ranged setup. The new hammer will also remain available across four classes rather than being limited to Tactical.
Year 3 still lacks its full schedule
The Second Anniversary Update is planned for early October, alongside the Season Pass 3. The Greatsword is confirmed for the third year of content, but its timing and the pass’s commercial details have not been revealed.
Cape recoloring remains in development, and its final version may change. The next Community Update is expected to present the complete Year 3 roadmap, followed by a Reddit question-and-answer session with the Game Director. The official announcement still does not provide a release date for Patch 15.
Players chasing the current event rewards have until September 8 to finish the 3 Chaos missions. Everyone waiting for Chaos Siege, Crucible Mode or the Tactical rework will need to wait for the official launch schedule.
