Ubisoft is gradually opening The Player Council PC on August 26, 2026. The platform is presented as a space for discovering and evaluating games, concepts and prototypes at different stages of development. Players can send feedback to developers through Ubisoft Connect and Games2Gether. Ubisoft’s announcement
Four projects for the first opening
The initial selection includes Riders Republic, Atomega, Codename Split Point and Codename Rook. Ubisoft describes the line-up as two prototypes and two games that are already available. The prototypes can be tested for free, while content linked to the existing games requires ownership of the relevant title.
Registration does not guarantee access
Signing up for free on playercouncil.gg is only the first step. Each participation request is subject to approval by the developers involved, and players must accept a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) to join the program.
Those interested in Riders Republic or Atomega must also already own the relevant game. The date of August 26, 2026 therefore marks the platform’s gradual launch, not the release of a new game. The Player Council PC is closer to a selective experimentation space than to an open beta with universal access.
Two more projects planned for the fall
Ubisoft plans to add Codename Decagon and Codename Harlequin later in the fall. Neither project is part of the initial launch.
The platform’s value will ultimately depend on how developers use the feedback they receive. The initiative opens a more direct route to participatory development, but access remains selective and varies according to the conditions attached to each project.
