Valheim drops players into a procedural open world built around distinct biomes, each with its own resources, threats and crafting steps. Progression depends as much on preparation as on combat: a reliable shelter, steady food, upgraded tools and planned expeditions quickly become essential.

The game blends survival, building, sea exploration and boss fights tied to the world’s major regions. Each major victory opens new possibilities, giving the adventure a clear structure while still leaving players free to explore at their own pace.

Developed by Iron Gate Studio and published by Coffee Stain Publishing, Valheim has been available in Early Access since February 2, 2021. Its balance and content may still evolve, but its core remains focused on co-op play, discovery and biome-based progression.
