Guild Wars 2 celebrates its 14th anniversary with past expansions and returning items in the Gem Store. The official announcement, published on August 25, 2026, looks back at 14 years of adventures, stories and friendships in Tyria.
Past expansions return to the Gem Store
The anniversary selection includes Janthir Wilds, Secrets of the Obscure and End of Dragons, alongside the earlier Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire. Players can also find The Elder Dragon Saga Complete Collection, Living World Season 2 and the Guild Wars 2 Starter Pack in the offering.
Three Piñata tools join the returning items
The celebration also includes a Black Lion Chest key and the return of Prince Rurik’s Vanguard cape skin. The cape is available again for players who missed the opportunity to obtain it the previous year.
Three infinite Piñata-themed gathering tools complete the item selection: the Piñata Harvesting Tool, the Piñata Logging Tool and the Piñata Mining Tool. Together, the expansion selection and the returning or themed Gem Store items mark the game’s 14 years in Tyria.
