Battlefield 6 Update 2.1.1.0 is scheduled for download on October 13 at 08:00 UTC on all platforms. Siege of Vegas, Season 5, is set to launch at 12:00 UTC that day, according to the official patch notes.

Armored vehicle crews face a change to recovery: firing will reset the wait before passive regeneration begins, and health restoration itself will take longer. Rocket adjustments will also reduce area damage and extend the wait for resupply.

Less area damage and slower rocket resupply

The patch notes announce a 30% reduction in area damage for 70mm FFAR Light Rockets. That figure concerns damage around the impact point; it should not be read as a reduction to every type of damage these rockets deal.

The resupply delay for rocket pods will rise from 28 to 38 seconds. These changes affect separate parts of an attack: the damage an explosion deals nearby and how soon another supply of rockets becomes available. Together, they mean reduced area damage and a longer wait between resupplies.

A separate anti-air adjustment remains in development. After Battlefield Labs testing, the developers say the change intended to make aircraft flying below radar vulnerable to MANPADS missiles still needs further iteration. It is not being presented as ready for this update.

Firing resets the wait for armored vehicle recovery

For Main Battle Tanks and Infantry Fighting Vehicles, firing the vehicle’s weapons will reset the 12-second delay before passive regeneration starts. A crew that keeps shooting while withdrawing will therefore keep pushing back recovery, even as it tries to leave the fight.

Once regeneration begins, restoring health from critical condition to full health will take 8 seconds for both vehicle categories. Previously, that restoration took 6.66 seconds for Main Battle Tanks and 7 seconds for Infantry Fighting Vehicles.

The waiting period and the restoration time are distinct. The firing rule affects when regeneration can start; the longer restoration affects how quickly the vehicle returns to full health afterward. Crews will have to weigh continued fire against allowing the regeneration countdown to finish.

Siege of Vegas follows at 12:00 UTC

Season 5 is scheduled to introduce the Vegas Strip and Area 51 maps and four weapons: Mk 24, RSPR, Z84M and ELR-40. The seasonal content has a later launch time than the update download, so the announced download window is not the start time for Siege of Vegas.

In REDSEC, Ranked Battle Royale is set to leave Battlefield Labs for its official launch with Season 5, accompanied by revamped badges and new rewards. Rapid Royale will offer redeployments earned through eliminations, with matches on maps including Vegas Strip and Mirak Valley.

For an October 13 session, plan around the separate download and content launch times. The armored vehicle changes introduce a concrete trade-off during withdrawal: continued shooting delays the start of passive recovery, while stopping fire lets that countdown progress.
