Big Walk 1.6.0 patch notes: Join Codes, networking and saves
Join Codes now use letters and numbers. The update also fixes several rare network issues that could prevent a successful connection and improves some network error and warning messages. The notes do not specify how these fixes affect the rate of failed connections.
Echo Cancellation is now available as a setting on Windows and Mac. These systems will also use the backup save more often when a save is corrupted. On Windows, the update fixes a crash that could occur with Windows Smart App Control. Unrecognized controllers now have fallback button glyphs.
The update also adds the First Person Arm Movement setting, without detailing how it works. A modded client can no longer perform certain actions that could disrupt other players on the server; the notes do not specify which actions are affected.
Challenges and in-game fixes
A challenge can no longer be skipped by using the lost and found and then restarting the server. The update also fixes a misplaced collider on a sign used to pass a challenge, along with some holes where a player could get stuck.
Other fixes address a potential shader error related to lights with dynamic brightness and range. The incorrect colors of two map markers have been corrected, and the stars in the night sky are now oriented more accurately to the real sky in the Southern Hemisphere.
The update brings together connection, save and progression fixes, along with a few visual adjustments. You can find Big Walk's game page here: Big Walk's game page.
