At the end of each month, PlayStation Blog opens a poll to choose the best new game of the month. Its editorial team puts together a shortlist of the month’s most notable releases.
How the September 2026 Players’ Choice vote works
PlayStation Blog excludes re-released games but accepts remakes, which it defines as ambitious, more extensive reconstructions. The post names Resident Evil 4 (2023) and Final Fantasy VII Remake as examples. Each voter can choose their own criteria; the poll asks which game they would recommend to a friend.
The winner will be announced after the votes are counted
The poll includes a “Vote” button. The page gives no closing date or time, and specifies no participation requirements related to an account, region or platform. After the poll closes, PlayStation Blog plans to count the votes and announce the winner on its social media channels and on the blog.
