A zombie campaign built around different Survivors

The story unfolds in Cypress Ridge during a zombie apocalypse, with Lydia Daniels and Hank at the center of Story mode. The camera follows an automated route along the rails, leaving players to track enemies, spot special weapons hidden in the environment, and choose targets quickly.

Each of the 18 Survivors brings a distinct loadout, shooting and damage profile, and special traits that affect how a run is approached. Michael resists Poison and Bleed effects, but his shotgun consumes substantial ammunition. Rin is built around precision: her icy handgun can freeze enemies, while headshots are essential. Her katana can also trigger a score-boosting phase at the cost of a random negative condition. She cannot dismember zombies.

Story mode is accompanied by Onslaught, an endless challenge in which dinosaurs can enter the fights. “Glitch” effects introduce unpredictable disruptions. Those variations give players a practical reason to change Survivors and replay sequences while chasing a better score.

Accuracy still determines the score

Headshots deal more damage and award extra points. Shooting limbs can disable them or reduce the attacks zombies can use. Grenades help when the screen becomes crowded, but their low point yield makes them more valuable as emergency tools than as a way to maximize the score.

Cypress Ridge's civilians add another restriction. Hitting them causes a health penalty, while a grenade that clears the screen or the explosion of a special infected does not penalize residents caught in the blast.

Price and XPA details are still open
