Marathon

Marathon is an extraction FPS developed and published by Bungie. It takes place on Tau Ceti IV, a lost colony where Runners search for gear, contracts and ways to grow stronger.

The core loop is built around risk. Players enter alone or with a crew, face hostile forces and rival teams, then try to extract before losing what they carried in.

Runner Shells define the starting role. Triage supports allies, Destroyer takes pressure, Recon tracks threats, and other Shells focus on mobility, stealth or scavenging.

Marathon is aimed at players who enjoy competitive FPS combat, loot decisions and tense extraction runs. Its long-term appeal will depend on balance, updates and Bungie’s support cadence.
