In Warframe, efficient resource farming starts with the planet that contains the material you need. From there, choose a mission that matches your pace and objective. A short, focused session can be more productive than a long route chosen at random.

Keep the recipe open in the Foundry before leaving. Hover over each missing material to confirm its source, since a single craft may require several rare resources.

Start with the resource table

  • Choose a planet that contains the resource you are targeting.
  • In a squad, prioritize dense missions and a steady kill pace.
  • The Resource Booster increases the amount received, while the Resource Drop Chance Booster increases drop opportunities.
  • For rare resources, open containers and follow loot markers.

Choose the planet before the mission

The Star Chart helps identify the relevant resource pool. A node's level does not replace choosing the right planet. Check the Foundry rewards and the official tables before launching.

Resource to targetPlanets to prioritizePractical choice
Ferrite, Rubedo, NeurodesEarthA good starting point for the early worlds.
Morphics, Gallium, SalvageMarsUseful for several intermediate components.
Orokin Cells, Circuits, Alloy PlateCeresChoose a dense mission for Orokin Cells.
Neural Sensors, Hexenon, Control ModuleJupiterSave this planet for a focused session.
Plastids, Orokin Cells, Nano SporesSaturnUseful when several recipes are blocked.
Plastids, Polymer Bundle, GalliumUranusProfitable with a group that avoids downtime.
Neurodes, Plastids, Nano SporesErisBest prioritized with a strong squad.
Argon CrystalsVoidFarm them just before crafting.

Common resources arrive naturally as you progress, while rare ones require a clear objective. For Neurodes, target Earth or Eris. For Plastids, Saturn, Uranus and Eris are more relevant than automatically returning to Earth.

Match the mission to your goal

An endless mission becomes profitable when enemies arrive quickly and the squad can hold the objective. Otherwise, Capture, Extermination or Sabotage may suit you better, especially when you want time to search containers.

  1. For a rare resource: choose Capture, Extermination or Sabotage on the right planet and search the rooms before extracting.
  2. For a large amount: choose Survival, Defense or Excavation if the enemy flow stays high.
  3. For Cryotic: protect active excavators. A missed cycle reduces your yield.
  4. For Argon: enter the Void, open containers and leave as soon as you have enough for the recipe.
  5. After one rotation: check your total and extract if gains remain low.

Do not stay for an hour simply because the mission allows it. The useful measure is how many recipes you unlock, not the size of the rewards screen.

Build a squad around compatible loot abilities

Four loot-focused Warframes do not guarantee four times as many resources. Official rules distinguish loot applied before death, on death, to a petrified enemy and to a corpse, so some effects do not stack on the same enemy.

Split the roles. Nekros with Desecrate remains useful when corpses are accessible. Khora, Hydroid and Wukong use effects applied on death. Ivara acts before death, while Atlas with Ore Gaze requires more precise preparation.

  • Do not take Khora and Hydroid expecting to double the same effect.
  • Keep enemies within a shared pickup area.
  • Call extraction as soon as the target is reached.
  • Plan for damage, crowd control and reliable objective defense.
  • Equip loot radar and pickup range for rare resources.

Activate boosters for a planned session

The Resource Booster doubles the amount of resources picked up. The Resource Drop Chance Booster increases the probability of obtaining resources. They address different needs.

Prepare your recipes, route and squad before activating a booster. Start with the rare materials blocking the Foundry, then chain common resources from the same planets. Save the Void and Argon for last.

Fishing and mining in open worlds follow a different logic. A drop booster does not replace an efficient Star Chart route.

Run a 30-minute recipe-focused route

  1. Identify the materials blocking the priority recipe in the Foundry.
  2. Choose a planet covering one rare resource and, if possible, a second need.
  3. Run two to four short missions for the rare resource.
  4. Switch to a continuous mission only if the group is efficient.
  5. Change planet as soon as the objective is met.
  6. Finish in the Void for Argon, then start crafting.

Frequently asked questions

Which mission should you choose to get Argon Crystals?

Enter the Void and prioritize a short mission with several rooms to search. Break containers, then extract as soon as you have enough for the recipe.

When should you farm Argon?

Farm Argon just before starting the craft. Its reserves degrade over time.

Do the Resource Booster and Resource Drop Chance Booster do the same thing?

No. The first increases the amount received per pickup. The second increases drop opportunities.

Why do two loot Warframes not always double the yield?

Loot abilities belong to separate categories. Some effects do not stack on the same enemy.

Where can you check which planet gives a specific resource?

Hover over the resource in the Foundry, then consult the official drop tables.
