Albion Online Dragonfire Patch 4, detailed in the official notes on November 2, 2026, raises the overall chance of obtaining a Firewing Drake Egg in the Dragon Sanctuary by about 40%. The increase is weighted toward higher tiers: the chance rises at tier 8 but falls at tier 6.
Version 32.040.1 also changes keybindings, adjusts the Ancient Lands and reduces healing from Healing Potions.
Keybindings follow physical key positions
Keybindings are now tied to the physical position of keys, rather than the letters or symbols assigned to them. The middle and side mouse buttons can also be assigned, giving players additional choices when setting their controls.
When creating or resetting a keybinding profile, the default positions are based on the US QWERTY layout. Players using an AZERTY keyboard will need to take physical key positions into account when configuring their controls. On Linux, keybindings still assume a QWERTY layout.
The patch also fixes an inventory issue that could cause a piece of equipment to be equipped or unequipped unintentionally when a player inspected it.
Egg chances shift toward higher tiers
The overall increase in the chance of obtaining a Firewing Drake Egg comes with a change in distribution. The chance rises by 300% at tier 8, stays roughly stable at tier 7 and falls by about 66% at tier 6.
These are relative changes from the previous rates, not the exact probabilities of receiving an egg on an attempt. A higher overall chance therefore does not mean every tier has become more favorable for players seeking an egg.
The Dragon Sanctuary loot redistribution concerns eggs; it does not affect the dungeon’s other items. The patch also doubles the sleep duration of the Spirit Weaver’s Drowsy Essence there, from 2 to 4 seconds. Its duration remains unchanged in the Ancient Lands.
Ancient Lands and potion balance
All Large Ancient Lands bosses lose 40% of their health. The adjustment differs in Ancient Lands variants intended for groups of 2 or three players: monsters gain 10% health, while chest loot decreases by about 10%.
Healing Potions restore less health at every tier. At 1,200 IP, the listed value falls from 24% to 21%. The Lifeward Potion gains range, increasing from 11 to 14 meters.
Players choosing a Dragon Sanctuary tier for Firewing Drake Eggs should consider the direction of each change: tier 8 has a substantially higher relative chance, while tier 6 has a lower one. The published figures do not give an absolute drop probability for either tier.
