Battlefield 6 Season 5 Phase 2 arrives on November 10 with European Casino, a nighttime infantry map, and Casino Heist, a limited-time event offering cosmetic rewards.
Casino Heist is coming to both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, but European Casino will not be available in REDSEC. The Battlefield team sets out the distinction in its Steam announcement.
A casino map without vehicles
European Casino takes players to a European-style resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Its nighttime setting and infantry-only format give the phase a new location for fighting on foot, with vehicles outside the map’s announced format.
The team also says that some other content will be unavailable in REDSEC, though it does not name those additions in the announcement. REDSEC players can join Casino Heist even though they cannot play on European Casino.
How Casino Heist rewards work
During Casino Heist, defeated enemies will drop Contracts that offer extra objectives during matches. Completing them earns DOUGH, which players can exchange for cosmetic items on the event reward track.
Collecting every standard item on that track unlocks a final challenge. The event is planned for a limited time, but the announcement gives neither a start time nor an end date.
New equipment and multiplayer changes
Phase 2 also introduces the NSW4 carbine, the ADS-17 6GHz signal jammer and the M142 MRAS truck. The announcement does not specify their availability by product or platform.
In the next update, high-capacity extended magazines for the SCW-10 and KV9 are set to receive handling penalties. That adds a handling trade-off for players using those magazines, although the announcement does not give numerical values for the adjustment.
A seasonal multiplayer leaderboard is also planned, with Career, game mode and class tabs and a season filter starting with Season 5. Players will be able to browse standings across those categories.
For REDSEC, the next update will add proximity chat to Rapid Royale. Battle Royale contracts and missions are also due to get clearer indicators, timers and notifications, making their objectives easier to read during a match.
Casino Heist offers players in both games a route to cosmetics and a final challenge, while European Casino’s infantry-only battles remain unavailable in REDSEC. The event’s end date has yet to be announced.
