Dune: Awakening is launching El Sayldam: The Rain of Blood, a global community challenge with a target of 80 million NPC kills on Arrakis. Every enemy defeated counts toward the same total, whether you are new to the planet or already a seasoned visitor.
The event runs from September 25 to October 5, giving the community ten days according to the official announcement. Full details are available in the official Steam announcement. The post says progress updates and completed milestones will be shared on that page. It does not give a closing time.
The four reward milestones
At 20 million kills, the community unlocks CHOAM Extension Floor and CHOAM Extension Roof. The 40 million mark adds CHOAM Extension Wall 01 and CHOAM Extension Wall 02.
At 60 million, two more rewards are on offer: CHOAM Extension Passageway and CHOAM Extension Wall 03. Finally, reaching 80 million unlocks CHOAM Extension Column and CHOAM Extension Wall Round Corner.
The post describes these as community unlocks but does not specify how rewards will be distributed to individual players.
