Enshrouded 1.0 launches on October 15, 2026, bringing a new region, new progression options and a change returning players should prepare for: existing saves will have their skill trees reset on first load in version 1.0.0.0.

The official October 14 post presents the launch trailer and changelog ahead of release. No launch time is specified.

A skill reset alongside new progression options

Returning players will need to redistribute their skills after the reset, choosing a configuration suited to their character and combat style before continuing. The reset occurs when an existing save first loads in the new version; the announcement does not detail how skill points will be handled.

The maximum character level will be level 50, while the maximum equipment upgrade level will be 55. These are separate caps: one governs the character’s level, the other how far equipment can be upgraded.

Magic receives nine new spell types, along with eternal variants of every spell for the endgame. Eternal spells and arrows will also become upgradeable, like weapons and other equipment. After rebuilding their skills, players should review the new options that match the attacks they use before beginning equipment upgrades. The additions offer more choices, but do not establish which spell or build will be most effective.

Cinder’s Cradle extends the world north

Cinder’s Cradle lies north of Veilwater Basin and includes a volcanic area and floating islands. Exploration also expands within existing regions, with two new Hollow Halls: one in Albaneve Summits and another in Veilwater Basin. The additions give players both a new territory to explore and new destinations in familiar regions.

Version 1.0.0.0 will bring Embervale’s story to a conclusion for now, but the Shroud and the Fell will remain. This provisional narrative endpoint does not establish that development has ended.

Sparkworks brings logic to player-built worlds

Sparkworks adds a logic system for creating interactions, traps, puzzles and enemy encounters in players’ worlds. It gives world building a functional dimension alongside decoration: a creation can include an interaction, a puzzle or an encounter. The announcement describes these possibilities without providing a step-by-step construction procedure.

Storage gets a more immediate convenience. Chests will be upgradeable in place, without being emptied or picked up. That removes the need to move stored contents just to improve a chest.

Lore texts and the main survivors who act as crafters or quest givers will receive voice acting in English, German and Mandarin Chinese. These additions bring spoken delivery to lore and to characters involved in crafting and quests.

Rendering changes and HDR support

The studio says its “brick renderer” will provide more detailed rendering at a distance, alongside reduced memory usage and performance improvements. No independent benchmarks establish the size of those gains on a particular setup.

HDR support is also coming for compatible monitors and televisions. Players will need a display that supports HDR to use it.

For returning players, the practical sequence is to redistribute skills to suit their combat style, review the new options for the attacks they use, then consider equipment upgrades. Cinder’s Cradle and the new Hollow Halls add places to explore, while Sparkworks introduces tools for building interactions into players’ worlds.
