iri’s “Period” leads the new trailer
The main announcement concerns “Period,” which is presented as the opening theme for Firefly Wedding. The trailer includes a preview of iri’s song, placing it at the centre of the anime’s latest promotional material.
Crunchyroll News Crunchyroll News’ article connects the song preview with the wider announcement for the series. It offers viewers an early sense of the production’s musical direction without revealing a confirmed episode schedule.
A marriage proposed to survive an assassination attempt
Firefly Wedding is presented as a romantic drama based on the manga by Oreco Tachibana, which Viz Media publishes in English. According to Viz Media’s description reproduced by Crunchyroll, Satoko Kirigaya is the daughter of a noble and is seriously ill.
Satoko becomes the target of the assassin Shinpei Goto and proposes marriage to him to save herself. The premise therefore begins with a survival bargain rather than a conventional romantic decision, giving the central relationship an immediate conflict.
The production and voice cast are in place
Takahiro Kamei directs the anime at david production. Yuko Kakihara handles the scripts and series composition, Yukiko Aikei designs the characters, and NOGRID composes the music.
The announced cast includes Lynn as Satoko Kirigaya and Koki Uchiyama as Shinpei Goto. Kenjiro Tsuda voices Mitsueda, while Kento Ito plays Kotaro Ogawa. These credits establish the principal creative and vocal team attached to the adaptation.
What is confirmed about the release
Crunchyroll says Firefly Wedding will be available worldwide as it airs. The announcement does not give territory-specific schedules or a precise release time, so viewers cannot yet determine when the first episode will appear in their local time zone.
For now, the confirmed details are the new trailer, iri’s “Period” opening theme, the October 9 start date and worldwide Crunchyroll streaming. The music has been introduced, but practical scheduling information remains to be announced.
