Radiation zones now use volumetric clouds
The update replaces the old dome effect in the world with spatial volumetric clouds. The team combines Niagara effects with code to maintain good performance when radiation zones overlap; the announcement gives no measured performance figures.
For radiation affecting the player, a changing vignette in the screen corners signals danger while preserving visibility.
Fixes for dropped items and uranium stacks
The changelog fixes an issue that prevented players from picking up items dropped within the radius of a radioactive sphere. It also corrects the scaling of radiation zones when uranium stacks are placed in chests.
