Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden has added three Japanese voice actors to its cast ahead of the anime’s premiere. Taku Yashiro will voice Anzel, Yoko Hikasa will play Fressa and Satoshi Hino will play Gandolf Rogen. The Japanese broadcast remains scheduled for October 6, 2026, according to Crunchyroll News.
Three characters now have confirmed voices
Announced on August 26, 2026, the casting update assigns a performer to each of the three roles. Crunchyroll News expands the anime’s announced cast, but does not provide further details about Anzel, Fressa or Gandolf Rogen’s relationships, abilities or importance to the story.
The series’ central premise is unchanged. A fighter who died undefeated awakens in the frail body of Nia Liston, then has to regain enough strength to continue living and eventually die in battle. The new names identify three voices attached to that conflict without revealing how their characters will affect it.
The main production staff is in place
Motoki Nakanishi is directing the adaptation at KONAMI animation. Gigaemon Ichikawa is handling series composition, while Yuki Ito and Kana Tosaoka are designing the characters. Naoki Endo is composing the music, Haruta Segi is serving as assistant director and Hiromi Kikuta is directing the sound.
Those credits give the production a defined creative team, but the announcement does not add an episode count, confirm the series format or provide a more detailed production schedule. The October date is therefore the clearest timing information currently available.
The October date applies to Japan
October 6, 2026 has been confirmed for the Japanese premiere only. No streaming platform outside Japan, international broadcast time or schedule for French-speaking territories has been announced at this stage.
The original light novels have an English edition published by J-Novel Club. That gives English-language readers access to the source material, but it does not confirm an international anime release. For viewers outside Japan, this announcement means three newly assigned roles and a Japanese broadcast date; access details will depend on a separate distribution announcement.
