War Thunder Update 2.59.0.43 raises the Su-33’s maximum total payload from 6,500 to 8,040 kg. The official Steam notes also list aircraft, map, controller, VR and Mac fixes.

Su-33 payload and aircraft changes
The Su-33’s maximum load per wing rises from 2,500 to 3,000 kg, alongside the 1,540 kg increase in its total payload limit. The notes also report a fix for a bug that greatly reduced the chance of fragments from other munitions hitting incoming missiles.
For all F-102A variants, static thrust and thrust at altitudes of 9 to 15 km have increased. The post gives no figures for either change, so its effect on performance cannot be quantified from the notes.
The MiG-23M’s S-24 modification had incorrectly required the UB-32 module for research instead of the B-8M1. Update 2.59.0.43 corrects that requirement.
Map, control and stability fixes
On Golan Heights, a fix addresses a cruiser appearing for one team in place of a catapult-equipped aircraft carrier. The notes also report adjusted carrier starting positions. On Darwin Hill, they fix aircraft appearing too high and too close to the ground combat area in high-tier battles.
A controller bug prevented players from changing the vehicle type in the crew training window with the cursor and selection button. The update also fixes image shaking in VR with DirectX 11.
On Mac, the notes list fixes for a crash when switching to cockpit view in a cockpit with mirrors, and for frequent crashes accompanied by the error “(libev) select, err=22”. The official Steam post was published on October 1, 2026. It says the notes cover the main changes and may omit other improvements; War Thunder is updated continuously, and some changes may not require an update.
