Aikatsu! has new opening and ending sequences for its season-one rebroadcast in Japan, with creditless versions presented in Crunchyroll's post dated October 17, 2026. Crunchyroll presents their creditless versions: the opening features “AIKATSU! × AIKATSU!”, while the ending uses “Aikatsu! INVITATION”.
The rebroadcast began on October 9 on the TV Tokyo network. Both sequences were newly produced for this return, giving the first season a new musical introduction and closing. For viewers revisiting the series, those opening and closing sequences are part of what is new about this Japanese broadcast.
Shared singers, different songwriting teams
“AIKATSU! × AIKATSU!” is performed by Waka, Fuuri and Yuna. Saori Kodama wrote the lyrics, and Kakeru Ishihama of MONACA handled both composition and arrangement. The opening pairs its vocal trio with Kodama's lyrics and Ishihama's work on both the music and its arrangement.
“Aikatsu! INVITATION” brings that same trio into a larger ensemble: Remi, Eri and Risuko join Waka, Fuuri and Yuna for the ending. Natsumi Tadano wrote its lyrics, while Shotaro Seo of MONACA composed and arranged the track.
The songs share a core vocal lineup: every singer credited on the opening also performs on the ending. Their writing credits differ, with a separate lyricist and composer-arranger for each theme. MONACA is represented on both tracks through Ishihama and Seo, while the ending expands the opening's trio into a sextet.
The new sequences, without the credits
Crunchyroll brings together the creditless opening and ending in its post, offering both newly produced sequences without the overlaid credits. The October 17 publication date belongs to the article; the videos' upload dates are not confirmed.
The first Aikatsu! television series originally aired from October 2012 to March 2016. The current announcement concerns the first season's Japanese rebroadcast and the opening and ending produced to accompany it. That distinction gives the new music its context: these themes are associated with the return of the earlier series.
For viewers interested in those additions, Crunchyroll's post presents the opening and ending together. The creditless versions provide a way to discover the new sequences separately from their place at the beginning and end of the Japanese television broadcast.
