ArcheAge Chronicles maintenance is complete and the game is available again, the team announced in a Steam post published on November 4, 2026. Steam players are asked to install the update before launching the game.
The announcement describes the game’s status when it was published; it does not guarantee the current status of the servers. Its maintenance notes cover Krogal’s attacks, player combat at the Pioneers’ Assembly Hall, quests in Diamond Shores and several progression issues.
Combat changes at the Assembly Hall and against Krogal
Player attacks are now disabled at the Pioneers’ Assembly Hall in the Conflict Channel. The change applies to that location and channel, giving players there a space where they cannot attack one another.
The update also improves hit detection for Krogal’s attacks across all of his combat sequences. This change concerns how the attack hit areas are detected during the encounter.
Diamond Shores quests and item handling
In Diamond Shores, players can now abandon Weeping Dead’s Doll, Gnoll’s Doll, Seaglass Beach Lantern’s Calling and Watcher’s Village Lantern’s Calling. The change lets players remove those quests from their quest list if they choose.
Hereafter Stones can no longer be sold, although players can still discard them. The update also fixes an issue that prevented Cheap Moonshine from being discarded. Dismantling settings for certain items have been adjusted as well, but the announcement does not specify which items were affected or how their settings changed.

Several progression issues have been addressed. The team says it fixed problems that could prevent Meliot from appearing, stop players from retrying the Altar of Seals or block progress through the tutorial under certain circumstances. A display issue affecting private messages sent by players is also among the fixes.
How to update on Steam
Before launching the game, open your Steam library and install the update. If the update button does not appear immediately, the announcement asks players to close Steam completely, then restart the client.
The Steam notes cover changes beyond the return from maintenance: players managing quests or inventory have new options and restrictions to consider, while those affected by the listed progression issues have fixes to install.
