The Division 2: Echoes of Central Park is available, Ubisoft has announced. The DLC takes agents from New York’s Upper West Side to Central Park and introduces 3 companions, each with a different role.

The adventure is playable solo or in co-op on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. In its November 3 announcement, Ubisoft lists the Ubisoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store for PC, as well as access through Ubisoft+. The announcement does not specify a price or regional availability terms.

Armed characters exchange gunfire on an overgrown street beneath the The Division 2 logo.

One companion at a time

Agents can call on Brayleigh Callahan, a sniper; Elwood Franklin, a protector; or Morse Feeney, an assault specialist. Only one companion can join the group at a time, so players must choose between those roles for a mission. They can select a different companion when replaying it.

Characters below level 40 are also set to receive a boost. Ubisoft has not specified the exact level they will reach after using it.

The route from the Upper West Side to Central Park unfolds on a map Ubisoft describes as significantly larger than the one in Battle for Brooklyn. The publisher has not provided a measurement to quantify the difference.

New skills and a launch limit for Prototype Gear

Echoes of Central Park offers six skill variants to obtain, including Corrosive Trap and Gas Bomber. The DLC also introduces an exotic weapon called The Ratel and a new gear set.

There is a restriction for agents bringing Prototype Gear into the DLC: it is normalized at launch. The developers plan to restore it to full power later, but have not announced when. Players using that gear therefore face a limit on its power during the new content for now.

Ubisoft also describes an endgame experience in which the outcome of encounters can grant exclusive rewards or leave players at a disadvantage later on. Under that system, the result of a fight can affect what follows it as well as the encounter itself.

The Deluxe Edition includes outfits inspired by the companions and a skin for The Ratel. Ubisoft’s announcement does not specify its price.

For returning agents, the new setting comes with a choice of companion and a temporary limit on Prototype Gear. Those with characters below level 40 can also expect a boost, although its exact destination level remains unspecified.
