FragPunk is rolling out a bug-fixing update on August 28, 2026. The patch targets five specific issues and is intended to avoid interrupting ongoing matches. No new content or balance changes are announced in the official patch notes published on Steam.
The wider FragPunk context remains available through the FragPunk page, but this update is narrowly focused on existing cosmetic items, character abilities and progression rewards.
Five targeted fixes for FragPunk players
Xbox Game Pass bonus skins should no longer be associated with an incorrect configuration. The change fixes the way the affected skins are handled; it does not announce new FragPunk availability through Xbox Game Pass or modify the offer itself.
Dex should also stop becoming temporarily invincible after the destruction of the incarnation created by Cloning Incarnation. This addresses a specific interaction between the character’s ability and the destruction of its created incarnation.
Hollowpoint’s exposed effect should no longer remain active after the Paparazzi gadget is destroyed. Players using either ability may therefore see the most direct gameplay impact from the patch, although the note describes a correction rather than a balance adjustment.
Two further fixes concern progression and cosmetic content. The emote reward from the Battle Pass Farstar General was incorrectly configured, while the Enchanting Moments card table was unusable. The announcement provides no manual action or recovery procedure for either issue, so affected players only need to wait for the rollout.
Matches should continue during deployment
The update is designed to install without stopping matches. Matchmaking may nevertheless be temporarily disrupted while the fix is deployed. If that happens, the publisher recommends waiting until the service returns to normal.
The note does not give a deployment time, an estimated duration, supported platforms or affected regions. As a result, players cannot determine from the announcement when the fix will reach their account, whether the rollout is simultaneous everywhere or how long any matchmaking interruption may last. The FragPunk Steam page accompanies the announcement without adding those details.
The players most likely to notice a change are owners of the affected skins, Dex and Hollowpoint users, and people who have the Farstar General Battle Pass. For other players, the update should remain largely invisible unless temporary matchmaking problems occur on August 28.
FragPunk is therefore applying a focused maintenance fix rather than expanding the game or changing its balance. The five corrected issues are identified, while the rollout schedule and regional scope remain unknown.
