Moon Sweepers patch 1.0.3 introduces automatic recovery for damaged saves and makes upgrade purchases benefit the entire crew. The official notes published on October 24, 2026 also detail changes to garages, building placement and performance.

Before rejoining a co-op session, check that everyone is running version 1.0.3: all crew members need this version to play together.

Save recovery runs when you load

The update addresses distinct save problems. Some large worlds appeared corrupted even though their saves were intact; the patch notes say those worlds can load again. For genuinely damaged saves, the game now attempts automatic repair during loading, using a backup copy or a recent snapshot.

That recovery relies on an earlier saved state, so it should not be read as a guarantee that every damaged save can be restored. A message tells you when a repair has taken place.

The patch also adds a check before each save replaces the previous one. This gives the save system protection at both ends: recovery when loading a damaged file, and validation before overwriting the preceding save.

Upgrade purchases now benefit everyone

In co-op, the entire crew now uses the host's upgrade matrix. An upgrade bought by any member applies to everyone, making that purchase part of the group's progression.

Existing saves retain the highest upgrade level purchased by any crew member. The transition therefore preserves the best level already acquired within the group when moving to the shared matrix.

Hosts also gain player management controls in ESC > Your Crew. From that list, they can kick, ban or unban a player. A ban prevents the affected player from rejoining that particular save.

Demolishing a garage preserves its vehicles

Each garage can now recall, store and upgrade vehicles you own, and it no longer offers an already acquired vehicle for purchase. These changes let garages handle the owned fleet without presenting duplicate purchases.

Demolishing a garage no longer deletes its vehicles. They move to another garage or wait until the next garage is built. Removing the building therefore preserves the vehicles even when no replacement garage is ready.

Base construction also gains more flexible placement. Splitters and mergers can snap directly together, port to port. Machines can span multiple foundations, allowing pressure chambers, stone presses and garages to sit on square foundations.

At the drop-off point, payment now matches the amount displayed on its screen. Dust and stone delivered by conveyor are paid for when they arrive, tying payment to the delivery itself.

The team reports higher frame rates on large bases

The developers report up to around 20% higher frame rates in their own tests, particularly on large bases. The hardware and testing procedure are not specified, so that result does not establish the gain an individual player will see.

The notes also announce faster teleportation between stations and less stuttering as terrain loads. Terrain hidden beyond the lunar horizon is no longer drawn, reducing the rendering work spent on that hidden terrain.

For a returning crew, updating everyone to the same version is the immediate step. Existing progress then carries into the shared upgrade system, while garage demolition becomes a way to reorganize facilities without deleting the vehicles they held.
