The Japanese premiere of Junket Bank is set for October 5, 2026.

A hidden gambling room inside the bank

The story follows Akira Mitarai, a bank employee transferred to a department presented as “special operations.” The assignment leads him to an illegal gambling den hidden at the heart of the bank.

Akira meets Shin Mafutsu, a mysterious gambler who introduces him to high-stakes betting. The series will explore the passion and pleasure associated with gambling, as well as the destruction and despair it can cause. Its banking setting gives that conflict a specific angle: the games unfold inside the professional environment where Akira expected to continue his career.

Seiji Kishi leads the adaptation

Seiji Kishi will direct the anime at animation studio CUE. Makoto Fukami is responsible for the series composition, Masanori Shino for the character designs and Taku Iwasaki for the music.

The announced cast features Soma Saito as Shin Mafutsu and Rikuya Yasuda as Akira Mitarai. Wataru Hatano voices Keiichi Shishigami, while Daisuke Hirakawa plays Reiji Murasame. These four names establish part of the circle surrounding the clandestine games, but the announcement does not yet detail their precise roles in the wider story.

The manga already has 22 Japanese volumes

Ikko Tanaka’s original manga has run in Weekly Young Jump since July 2020. It had reached 22 volumes published in Japan by the August 28, 2026 announcement, giving the anime an established work with substantial material behind it. That figure does not indicate how much of the manga the first season will adapt, nor whether it will cover a specific arc.

Japan has a date, but overseas access remains open

The October 5 date fixes the Japanese launch, not the series’ international availability. No French or international broadcast has been announced, and the Japanese broadcast time, platforms outside Japan and episode count remain unknown.

For French-speaking viewers, searching for Junket Bank on a local streaming service cannot yet confirm access or a reservation. A licensing or platform announcement will be needed before the series can be considered available in a specific region.

Junket Bank now has a confirmed Japanese premiere and an identified creative team, with four cast members attached. The decisive information still missing for viewers elsewhere is the distributor, broadcast time and viewing arrangement outside Japan.
