Kagurabachi has added two more names to its anime cast. Miku Ito will voice Hinao, while Miyari Nemoto will play Char Kyonagi. The announcement also confirms that the series is scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2027. Crunchyroll News on August 28, 2026
April is currently the full extent of the Japanese release information. The production has not yet announced an exact launch date, so viewers still have no confirmed day for the broadcast’s start.
Hinao and Char connect the anime’s opening storyline
Hinao works as an intermediary at Cafe Haru Haru, connecting clients who need a sorcerer’s help with people able to handle their requests. Her position places her close to the supernatural conflicts at the heart of the series, but it also gives her a practical role in Chihiro’s journey.
Char Kyonagi is described as a cheerful and courageous young girl pursued for reasons that the announcement does not detail. Her encounter with Hinao, followed by her meeting with Chihiro, ties the two newly cast characters directly to the story’s early stakes. anime and manga news
A growing cast around Chihiro
These additions join Taihi Kimura, who voices Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira and Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba. Tetsuya Takeuchi is directing the adaptation at CyPic, while Keigo Sasaki is responsible for character design.
The anime is based on Takeru Hokazono’s manga, which began publication in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023. Eleven volumes had been published in Japan as of August 28, 2026, giving the adaptation an established body of material before its planned broadcast.
Chihiro was trained by his father, the renowned swordsmith Kunishige. When the sorcerer organization Hishaku attacks and steals six enchanted blades, Chihiro takes up Enten, the seventh blade left by his father, and begins a path of revenge. That setup explains why Hinao’s intermediary work and Char’s pursuit matter beyond their introduction: both characters become linked to the events driving Chihiro forward. visuals and trailers related to their roles
French-speaking broadcast details are still pending
Crunchyroll has announced a same-time broadcast around the world, excluding Japan, China and Korea. That announcement does not yet establish the French release schedule, the pace of episode releases or the availability of dubbing and subtitles.
For now, the confirmed news is limited to Ito and Nemoto joining the cast and the April 2027 Japanese premiere window. The precise date and French-speaking broadcast arrangements remain to be announced.
