Maebashi Witches – Emoemories: Blooming Witches will reach Japanese theaters on October 23, 2026. Crunchyroll News announced the date on August 27, 2026, alongside the main trailer, a key visual and a preview of “Amehare Make Up,” performed by the voice cast.
The date currently applies only to Japan. No French, European or worldwide release has been announced, so French-speaking viewers still have no confirmed legal way to watch the compilation film in their region.
The film revisits the 2025 anime
Maebashi Witches – Emoemories: Blooming Witches is a theatrical compilation built from the Maebashi Witches anime series. It is not a new season or a sequel. The announcement does not yet specify which episodes will be included, how the material will be re-edited or how long the film will run.

The original Maebashi Witches series aired in Japan from April to June 2025. Sunrise created it, with Junichi Yamamoto directing at Bandai Namco Filmworks / PROJECT MBW. Erika Yoshida handled the series composition and scripts, Yu Inami created the original designs, Nozomi Tachibana designed the animated characters and Yuri Habuka composed the music. The story follows Yuina Akagi, a high school student recruited by Keroppe, a mysterious frog, to become a witch. She joins Azu Niisato, Kyoka Kitahara, Choco Mitsumata and Mai Kamiizumi to form the Maebashi Witches, a group helping local residents make their dreams come true.
International distribution has not been announced
Crunchyroll currently offers the television series, but that availability does not confirm a release for the film. No French distributor, international platform or release window outside Japan has been specified.
For now, the confirmed information is limited to the Japanese theatrical date and the first trailer. The film’s final contents and its distribution beyond Japan will require a separate announcement.
