Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly will begin its second cour on October 4. An announcement published by Crunchyroll on September 3 reveals a new key visual featuring Production Once More’s five returning idols and confirms the arrival of two new alien characters.
New opening and ending themes
ILLIT will perform the opening theme, “Swingin’ Magic.” The LuluttoLilly group will perform the ending song, “Dream a la Mode,” with CompatoLilly voiced by May Tachibana and MashuLulu voiced by Nao Ojika.
These announcements confirm that music will remain part of the series’ identity in the second cour. They do not yet reveal how the new songs fit into the upcoming episodes, and the key visual does not specify the five idols’ roles in the continuation.
Mucchi and Shiromofu join the cast
The second cour will introduce two alien characters: Mucchi, voiced by Yusuke Shirai, and Shiromofu, voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi. Their relationship with the sisters, their roles in the story and their first appearance have not been detailed.
A YouTube release has been announced
The second cour is scheduled for the Bandai Namco Filmworks YouTube channel. No broadcast time, territory or additional streaming information has been provided. Availability in France and other regions therefore remains unknown, and no local platform or release date can be confirmed yet.
Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly follows sisters Fuu and Rui Nonoyama as they gradually grow apart before gaining magical powers. Fuu is in elementary school and Rui is in middle school. In their adult forms, they can become the idol singers they dream of being, but they must keep their transformation secret for one year.
The series is produced by Studio Pierrot and Bandai Namco Filmworks. Shintaro Doge directs the anime and provides the original character designs. Yuko Kakihara is responsible for the series composition and scripts, while Namiko Torii, Hirono Nishiki and Asami Sodeyama contribute to the animation designs.
