Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her ended the week before Crunchyroll’s September 28, 2026 page announced a special trailer and a new key visual. The trailer revisits Haruki through the seasons, according to Crunchyroll’s description; the visual shows her smiling in an autumn setting.
A reunion seven years after a childhood promise
The story follows Hayato as he reunites with Haruki seven years after they made a childhood promise. Haruki has changed her appearance, and their relationship and feelings develop into something stronger. Crunchyroll streams all 12 episodes of the anime.

The light novel series began on Shosetsuka ni Naro in June 2020. Yu Hibari writes it, with illustrations by Shiso. KADOKAWA publishes the print edition under its Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label; Crunchyroll’s page reports 11 volumes released in Japan. Fujimi Shobo publishes a manga adaptation drawn by Kina Oyama.
Chuanfeng Xu directs the anime at project No.8. Deko Akao handles series composition, N Nei Kurahashi designs the characters, and Ryosuke Nakanishi, Naoki Tani and Yuri Morita compose the music. Daiki Hachimaki is the sound director.
