Overgeared puts Youngwoo Shin, better known as Grid, at the center of a new character trailer. The anime adaptation of Saenal and Monohumbug’s manhwa will first arrive on Prime Video in Japan before its television launch, while Crunchyroll has announced a worldwide release as the series airs.

Prime Video Japan gets the early window
Overgeared will be available early on Prime Video in Japan from September 27, ahead of the television broadcast beginning on October 2. The announcement does not specify the television channels, release times or time zone for either date.
Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide as it airs. That confirms the intended global scope of the rollout, but it does not provide country-specific schedules. The September 27 date therefore applies to Prime Video’s early availability in Japan and does not establish an equivalent launch date for viewers in France or elsewhere.
Grid’s story begins inside Satisfy
According to the Yen Press synopsis reproduced by Crunchyroll News, Youngwoo Shin becomes Grid in Satisfy, a virtual reality game. He then discovers a tome containing the lost knowledge of a legendary blacksmith, setting up the premise behind the character highlighted by the trailer.
Ayako Kono directs the anime at J.C.STAFF. Kenta Ihara handles series composition, Ryosuke Tanigawa designs the characters and Yoshiaki Fujisawa is credited for the music. These credits identify the main production team, but they do not yet provide enough information to assess the adaptation itself.
For now, the concrete schedule is split between Prime Video Japan from September 27, television in Japan from October 2 and a worldwide Crunchyroll release during the broadcast period. Local dates and times outside Japan remain to be specified.
