The video puts more emphasis on the ultraviolence of Tank Chair. It accompanies a story centered on Shizuka, who is trying to wake her brother Nagi after he fell into a coma from taking a bullet meant to protect her.
According to the first-volume synopsis reproduced in the announcement, Shizuka attempts to trigger murderous intent in Nagi to help bring him out of his coma. This situation gives the story a clear direction: violence is not merely a visual element, but directly shapes the fate of both characters.
Kodansha US publishes the original manga in English. This context establishes the anime as an adaptation of an already published work, without providing any information about possible availability in France.
An already identified production team
Tadahiro “Tady” Yoshihira directs the series, writes the screenplay and oversees its series composition at Polygon Pictures. Hiroaki Ando also contributes to the direction and screenplay.
The other announced credits are Yuki Moriyama for character designs, Kazuma Teshigahara for production designs and Masaru Yokoyama for the music. The trailer therefore adds a voice-casting detail to an already known creative team.
What the October 4 date confirms
Tank Chair is confirmed to debut in Japan on October 4, 2026. The announcement specifies neither a broadcast time, a Japanese platform nor an international release date. French-speaking viewers therefore do not yet have a verified local schedule.
