Published on August 29, 2026, ARK: Survival Ascended's Community Crunch 521 introduces the Galleon and lays out the next Genesis deadlines. official Studio Wildcard announcement presents the ship, but Studio Wildcard has not announced a separate release date, price or access requirement.
The Galleon brings a mobile base to the water
The Galleon is designed to let tribes build a base at sea and move it with them. Its cannon battery also gives the ship a defensive role in clashes between tribes. Construction cost, progression requirements and usage rules remain unspecified, so its availability and place in the wider game loop are still unknown.
The bulletin also announces new water physics. Waves and sea movement are expected to affect floating structures, but their precise consequences for navigation, building stability and naval combat have not been detailed.
Genesis structure decay returns on September 4
On Friday, September 4, 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to reactivate structure decay on Genesis. The feature was temporarily disabled after tribe-related issues linked to the OC outage the previous week. No deployment time has been given, and the date could still change.
Transfers for official Genesis Ascended Part 1 servers are also scheduled to open that day for items, creatures and characters. That deadline is separate from the closure of the Genesis Part 1 Expires servers, announced for September 18, 2026. Tribes affected by the closure should therefore plan their migration before that date, although the bulletin does not specify any additional restriction.
The dates that matter
- August 31, 2026: Temporary bonuses on official Conquest servers are scheduled to end.
- September 4, 2026: Structure decay is scheduled to resume, and Genesis Ascended Part 1 transfers are announced to open.
- September 18, 2026: Genesis Part 1 Expires servers are announced to close.
Conquest bonuses and the next Astraeos update
Official Conquest servers are available on PC, Xbox and PlayStation. Season 8 links 18 maps to Genesis Part 1. Until Monday, August 31, 2026, temporary rates remain active: 2x in PVP and PVE, 4.5x on Small Tribes with 4x breeding, and 5x for ARKpocalypse.
Astraeos is presented as having reached its completed form, but no detailed schedule has been provided for the platforms or access to its related features. Dododex is also preparing an improved calculator for the statistics of tamed and bred creatures, including customizable ratings and name suggestions. The launch is initially planned for the web, with no confirmed date.
For Genesis tribes, the immediate decision is to separate the September 4 transfer window from the September 18 server closure. The Galleon could substantially expand how tribes establish and defend mobile bases, but its access conditions and behavior in the new water system remain to be announced. JEU.VIDEO's ARK news
