The second official Magical Explorer trailer, published by Aniplex on August 28, 2026, confirms that Magical Explorer will receive its first Japanese television broadcast on October 3, 2026. The second official trailer also introduces a new key visual and confirms ASCA’s role in the anime’s music.
The date currently applies only to Japan. Aniplex has not announced a streaming platform outside the country, a French-language simulcast or an international broadcast schedule. For French-speaking viewers, October 3 is therefore not yet a local release date, and the practical question remains which broadcaster or platform will carry the series abroad.
ASCA provides both theme songs
The trailer confirms that ASCA performs both of the anime’s identified themes: the opening song, “Remedy”, and the ending song, “Double Wings”. Having the same artist handle both tracks gives the adaptation a clear musical link across its opening and closing sequences, although it does not reveal how many episodes the season will contain or how long each episode will run.
Magical Explorer is directed by Kazuki Ohashi at WHITE FOX. Satoko Sekine is responsible for series composition, while Ryosuke Kimiya handles the character designs and Kenichiro Suehiro composes the music. The anime adapts the light novels written by Iris and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki.
The announced voice cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kosuke Takioto, Ai Kakuma as Ludie and Saori Onishi as Yukine Mizumori. M・A・O plays Nanami, Mai Fuchigami plays Marino Hanamura, Minami Tsuda plays Hatsumi Hanamura, Risa Tsumugi plays Clarisse, Asaki Yuikawa plays Rina Kato and Hikaru Tono plays Iori Hijiri.
Only the Japanese launch is scheduled
Crunchyroll News covers the new trailer, key visual, Japanese premiere date, cast and production team. Aniplex states that the series will debut on several Japanese channels on October 3, but the announcement does not specify how those broadcasts will be distributed in other regions.
That leaves a clear distinction between what is set and what is still pending: Japanese viewers have a confirmed premiere date, while international viewers are still waiting for distribution details. The next useful update for French-speaking audiences will be the announcement of an international broadcaster or platform. Further announcements are collected on JEU.VIDEO.
Magical Explorer now has a Japanese launch date, two confirmed theme songs and an identified production team. Its availability in France and other regions remains unconfirmed, so the October 3 date should not yet be treated as a worldwide release.
