The Rogue Prince of Persia has received a major free update celebrating its first anniversary, according to Ubisoft. Published on September 17, 2026, the announcement introduces new combat areas, movement-focused modes, additional equipment and a tougher Palace boss. Developed by Evil Empire, The Rogue Prince of Persia is presented as a roguelite. Ubisoft says the game is playable on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC through the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. It is also available with Ubisoft+.
Combat Zones add escalating enemy waves
The update adds Combat Zones, new areas where players face waves of enemies that become increasingly difficult.
A new mechanic can freeze and slow enemies during combat.
Two new modes focus on timing and movement
The Speed Run Mode includes timers for tracking movement and optimizing routes.
The Parkour Mode focuses on wall-running, routing and agility.
The parkour route and Palace boss are tougher
Ubisoft has adjusted the pace and difficulty of parkour. The initial biomes are shorter and paired with higher overall challenges.
The Palace boss has also been completely reworked, redesigned and restructured. Ubisoft describes the new version as significantly more difficult and better suited to powerful endgame builds.
The update is free and available across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC.
