Big Walk 1.5.1 patch notes were published on Steam on August 28, 2026. The official notes covers separate audio sliders and fixes affecting saves, interactions, interfaces and multiplayer. The post does not separately confirm the patch’s deployment date.

This is a reliability update rather than a content expansion. No major new content or broad performance changes are announced.

Completed challenges should no longer reset

A save created before version 1.4.9 could reset a challenge that had already been completed. Version 1.5.1 fixes that behavior, and the notes do not require any special action for existing saves.

Several interaction problems are addressed at the same time. Players can no longer pick up another player from the other side of a turnstile, while passing through certain walls has become more difficult. Confetti cannons that sometimes failed to trigger are also fixed.

Object placement and interface issues receive separate fixes

An item stored in a backpack could interfere with the display of its shadows. A disconnection could also place an object on the wrong side of a wall. Both situations are included among the object-placement fixes.

The save deletion menu now displays the relevant item’s name, making it easier to check the selected file before deleting it. Prompts concerning the host’s password and connection have been changed, including the removal of one prompt after a failed attempt.

The character limit that could prevent Chinese, Japanese and Korean fonts from displaying new characters has been fixed. A lighting issue that could persist after a specific sequence in the game is also addressed.

Audio controls and network alerts are clearer

Audio settings now use independent sliders, although the announcement does not specify which volume categories can be adjusted separately.

During online sessions, Big Walk now distinguishes between a slow connection and an unstable connection. That wording gives players a more precise indication of the problem, but the update does not add a new networking feature or change the connection requirements.

Another patch is in preparation

The developers say that another patch is being prepared, without giving a release schedule or change list. Its timing and contents therefore remain unknown.

For now, version 1.5.1 is focused on protecting completed challenges, tightening object interactions and making connection problems easier to identify. Future announcements can be followed through the JEU.VIDEO video game news.
