EA says it blocked 277,649 cheating or tampering attempts in Battlefield 6 during July 2026, according to the official EA Javelin Anti-Cheat report published on September 4. The report covers the end of Season 3, the first ranked season and the beginning of Season 4.

The clearest figure for players is the Match Impact Rate (MIR), which tracks matches negatively affected by at least one suspected cheater. It reached 5.74% from July 13 to 15, then fell to 4.86% on July 20 and 4.76% by the end of the month.

What Battlefield 6’s MIR actually measures

The MIR is not the percentage of players who cheat. It measures affected matches, and the reports counted can include cases where EA does not have enough evidence to impose a penalty.

The 277,649 blocked attempts represent activity stopped by Javelin Anti-Cheat before it affected matches. That number cannot establish how many accounts were penalized, how many cheaters were identified or how many matches were protected.

June’s figure was revised after the calculation changed

EA changed the way it calculates the MIR to better filter persistent reports aimed at legitimate players. The publisher specifically mentions highly skilled players and people who mainly play in vehicles, both of whom may receive frequent reports without those reports proving cheating.

Using the old method, June’s MIR was 6.59%. Applying the new definition revised it to 4.62%. July’s figures therefore begin from a recalculated baseline, making direct comparisons with earlier reports less reliable.

EA says July’s increase did not match any known change in player populations, communities or cheating tools. Because the full methodology remains confidential, the MIR can show a trend in affected matches, but it cannot describe the full scale of cheating in Battlefield 6.

TPM 2.0 is now required on PC

The TPM 2.0 requirement has been active since August 31, 2026. EA report does not specify which configurations are affected or which procedure players should follow if they encounter a problem, so no single technical fix can be inferred for every PC setup.

EA’s July report offers a more precise view of the match impact it is tracking, while leaving important limits in place. Future reports will show whether the MIR stabilizes after the definition change and whether the TPM 2.0 requirement produces a measurable difference in match protection.
