Passenger comfort will count towards journey results in Coaches, the upcoming DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. The Scania Touring gameplay preview announced on 10 October 2026 shows how abrupt driving can affect the people on board.

In its preview post, the developer introduces a G-force indicator linked to passenger satisfaction. Sharp turns and hard braking can increase the forces passengers experience, prompting audible reactions when their comfort limits are exceeded. The announcement presents an advance look at the forthcoming DLC, rather than announcing playable availability.

Passenger comfort becomes part of the journey result

The consequence for drivers is that their handling of the coach will matter to the passengers as well as to the vehicle. A sharp turn or heavy braking can cause discomfort, and satisfaction will contribute to the overall result at the destination. Passenger reactions therefore have a role beyond adding atmosphere: they can signal that a manoeuvre has exceeded a comfort limit.

The preview describes both a G-force indicator and audible feedback. Drivers will have an indicator linked to satisfaction alongside reactions from inside the coach. A braking manoeuvre, for example, may produce a passenger response if the forces involved exceed their comfort limits. The condition matters: the announced behaviour ties those reactions to excessive forces, rather than to braking alone.

How demanding this will be remains uncertain. The preview does not establish the comfort thresholds or the weighting of passenger satisfaction in the final result. The announced system makes smooth driving relevant to the assessment, but it is too early to attach a particular penalty to a turn or a braking event.

The Scania Touring heads from Narvik to Andenes

The demonstration follows the Scania Touring from Narvik to Andenes, in northern Norway. This is the itinerary presented in the gameplay preview; it does not establish how the comfort system will feel across other journeys in Coaches.

Passengers will also talk and make noise during the trip. Their presence will be audible during ordinary travel, extending beyond the reactions associated with discomfort. The announcement therefore describes both an onboard atmosphere and feedback linked to driving: passenger sounds can accompany the journey, while reactions to excessive forces can draw attention to their comfort.

The preview also shows an adjustable sun visor that lets the driver control the light entering the cab. It gives the driver a way to adjust the cabin environment, alongside the passenger comfort features shown in the same preview.

Passenger satisfaction will contribute to the final assessment, giving smooth handling a consequence beyond the manoeuvre itself. The preview explains that connection, though the system's strictness remains unresolved. More gaming news is available on JEU.VIDEO.
