REMATCH Season 6 is now available, the team announced on October 23, 2026, bringing Contracts, rewards, cosmetics and the Clouds Sunset arena. Its network improvements have a separate timetable: Netcode 2.0 is scheduled to roll out gradually during the season, with no guarantee of an immediate network improvement at launch.

Contracts turn matches into progression

In the launch announcement, the team describes a progression system built around playing matches. Players advance Contracts, unlock Badges and earn Blocks. That gives the season a progression thread alongside its new arena and cosmetic additions: matches contribute towards objectives, with unlocks and rewards attached to that progress.

Legacy Rewards recognise players’ earlier progression. Their purpose differs from the Contracts advanced through matches this season: they acknowledge progress already made. For returning players, that makes previous achievements relevant to the new season, although the announcement does not establish individual eligibility or the precise rewards an account will receive.

The Vanguard and Glitch cosmetic collections are also part of the seasonal additions, alongside the Clouds Sunset arena. The collections expand the announced customisation options, but their reveal does not establish prices or how players obtain them. They should therefore be treated as announced additions rather than promised Contract rewards.

Netcode 2.0 will roll out during the season

The technical update targets desyncs and rollbacks. Reducing those issues is the team’s stated aim, rather than a measured result established by the announcement. For players waiting chiefly for network improvements, that distinction matters: the arrival of new seasonal content alone cannot demonstrate that these problems have improved.

The phased schedule also means there is no single confirmed completion date to attach to the season’s launch. The announced window is during the season; it does not establish when the rollout will reach everyone. Nor does the goal of reducing desyncs and rollbacks amount to a promise to eliminate them.

The season’s content is available now, while the network update remains a staged delivery. Players returning for Contracts and rewards have a new progression path to pursue; those returning specifically for better network behaviour should judge that change by the rollout’s results.
